Raw thoughts
July 13, 2009
Below are my thoughts as I was watching raw. They are in order from the opening segment on. I know that Twitter could have easily been used but I don’t have a twitter account and I would rather contain all my sports stuff to this site.
————————
Did Seth Green really say he was going to wrestle? I hope they don’t keep doing this celebrity wrestling with other guest hosts.
No Beth Phoenix in the divas match? I have a secret crush on her.
Miz/Primo…squash match is my guess.
Shit nevermind, Primo is getting more action in than he ever gets.
Heck Yah, love the apple in the face from Carlito to Primo. I was just thinking how that apple spitting gimmick was one of my favorites. A gimmick a face cant pull off.
Watching all these ads, do you the E told USA network to put on Burn Notice (a high rated show which has the male demographic behind it) on Thursdays to steal Impact viewers.
Big Show looks like a fag doing that Austin Powers impression. Now kids, never use that word in school or in front of your parents.
Michael Cole going to the break when Jack Swagger was yelling at him, it was as if it was a voice over because he ignored Swagger and you should have been able to hear Swagger in his mic.
Can’t believe they let Jack Swagger steal MVP’s thunder. MVP’s push has gone away.
Mark Henry is definitly a face. Makes sense because Big Show is a bad guy and you can’t have 2 evil giants.
Nice touch leaving Jericho with only the tie.
Another fucking countout on Raw.
Love how they are letting Kofi speak.
Damn Evan Bourne just landed jaw first, ouch.
Remember when the Big Show had long hair?
Part of me wished that Seth Green got a punt to the head because it would have helped make Randy Orton a huge household name.
TMac new that is relevant

For all the shit I give Tracy McGrady I got to give him a hand on this one: he is changing his number to 3 to brinch awareness to the Darfur bullshit. “He is making the switch to promote his humanitarian efforts in the Darfur region of the Sudan and a documentary on his summer 2007 visits to refugee camps in the region. The documentary, “3 Points,” is set for release this fall. The title refers to goals of peace, protection and punishment.”
It should be noted that he will not likely play this year and Trevor Ariza is taking his old number 1.
If he got any money from the uniform switch, which is probably the case, he is not donating that.
matt hardy comment on his career
July 13, 2009
For the betterment of Matt Hardy’s career, I think that he should come back as a face. He could easily ride the wave of Jeff Hardy fans since he is leaving. If he does come back as heel, he should win the belt off Jeff Hardy(yes I know Jeff is not a champion) right away.
From a fan, a Dodger fan
July 13, 2009
Mike and Mike just said that their is zero chance that the Dodgers will win the World Series because no NL team in the Wild Card era who had the best record in baseball won the series. As much as I hate to say it, it redeeming; that way my heart won’t break as hard.
I have been a die hard Dodger fan my whole life. I suffer through Jose Offerman at shortstop. I suffered through the Pedro Martinez trade. I watched a man named Delino. I saw all those rookie of the years in a row (Mike Piazza, Eric Karros, Todd Hollandsworth…) I saw Mike Piazza in his prime. I suffered while Barry Bonds was killing the HomeRun record, it felt like all those came off the Dodgers. I suffered through all those horrible years of Adrian Beltre, and then in his contract year he put up major numbers and bolted. I cried when Paul Lo Duca was traded. Yes somehow we are here with a bunch of players who are no more special than any other Dodger team. Sure you could argue that Manny is great, but we had Gary Sheffield in his prime and Mike Piazza. None of those teams had the best record in baseball.
As a fan who doesn’t want his heart broken I don’t think we will make it. Our pitching staff is young and Torre abuses them like they have all the energy in the world and wont run out of gas. Our starting pitching has over achieved (Jeff Weaver and Eric Milton?). Casey Blake has played like he an all star that he isn’t. If I am Ned Colleti I am burning up the phone lines. I even call Paul Byrd and tell him that I want him on my team.
I may love my girlfriend, I may love my cat, I may love my dog, I may love my mom, and I may love my nephews but what do I want a tattoo of over my heart? A Dodgers tattoo.
So I just got home from a nice jog (3 miles) and saw that Manny Acta was fired. Manny Acta is the Nationals manager. I am pretty sure I sprained/strained/tore a muscle so that means I will have even more time to update this wonderful site.
I don’t blame the Nationals for this move. They gave him a year and half, and its not like they got worse. They got Nick Johnson back, signed Adam Dunn, and traded for some solid Marlins in Scott Olsen and Josh Willingham. Management even ade an effort to upgrade their pitching on top of Olsen, they signed Joe Beimel, Daniel Cabrera, Mike MacDougal and countless others. After all that failed, they get reinforcements from Pittsburgh and still fail. It was up to Manny Acta what he should have done with those players and he hasn’t done anything special. In fact some might say that they want Emilio Bonafacio back, even if it means sending back Josh Willingham. The team got better, the division got worse yet the Nationals record is horrible. The NL East is a winnable division.
One of the first moves the next manager should make is to bench Anderson Hernandez, he should not be starting. Another thing is to get something out of their starting pitchers. (For those who argue, I saw quick name a Nationals starter over 25, you can’t well name a starter over 25. Ha you can’t) Joel Hanrahan was once a solid major who anybody would have wanted, I think he just got burnt out. He may have even had his morale killed, being in Washington can do that to you.
